Fantastic day out, about a 40 min boat trip along Waveney River to The Loch Inn community Pub, a lovely lunch, then a 3 mile walk back thru the Norfolk/Suffolk countryside, which was fantastic for our little four legged friend, off the lead for most of the walk back, would recommend this to everyone. You can also get the boat back if this is better for you btw

An amazing way to spend the day! Our skipper was lovely, We left on time,1pm, beautiful boat trip along the broads, had lunch at The Lock Inn, lovely burgers! Went for a walk, sat by the river and fell asleep in the field. Then a lovely peaceful trip back to Beccles at 6pm. Just what the doctor ordered, rest and relaxation!! This was the third time we have used the Big Dog Ferry.

A very relaxing and peaceful trip to the Locks Inn from Beccles Lido. Efficiently run and very friendly and knowledgeable skipper. Booking advised to avoid disappointment. We saw kingfishers, swans and ducks. Perfect for all the family!

We’ve been meaning to go on this for ages. We chose a beautifully sunny day for it and we were not disappointed. The staff, both at the lido and the captain himself, were all very helpful and friendly. We were able to use the toilets at the lido before boarding, and we we also able to move our car to the lido car park and keep it there until our return. The trip itself was magical. Beautiful scenery along the river and a real sense of peace and tranquillity. We chose to walk back to explore a bit more. Would definitely return and would highly recommend.

Beautiful and relaxing journey to a river side pub where you can have food and drinks or swim in the river. Great to spot wildlife. Highly recommended to anyone!

Made a lovely day even lovelier!! Walked from Beccles to Geldeston Lock PH, had a great pint and great food and the added bonus of music to listen to and then a lazy meander down the river with Big Dog Ferry back to Beccles! A perfect day!

The boat ride was amazing and was certainly one of the highlights of my holiday and I 100% recommend it to anybody wanting a nice, peaceful activity. As well as this, the skipper was extremely kind and even gave us a map so we could make our way back on the walk. The pub at the end also had a marvellous ambiance and everybody we met that day seemed extremely friendly. AMAZING!!!!
